Geizhals.at accepts online-pricelists in various formats, as is stated here: http://unternehmen.geizhals.at/sales/technisches.html (on the botton-right there is a link to even more detailed information)

You are free to contact one of these people http://unternehmen.geizhals.at/sales/ I'm sure they can halp you further. Maybe Geizhals is even interested in a slovenian branch-office? I never hurts to ask the right people...

Ardjan

Generally, whether they have to use the same format or if you offer them the service of using whatever they please is a matter that you alone have to decide. Either is technically possible, so what matters is your ability to implement it, and whether you're willing to invest the time (or, if you have to hire people to do it, the money) to provide this service.

Personally I would consider it a business secret whether their customers have to conform to some kind of standard, or whether they provide the service to read whatever format their customers can offer.

Well I will do that, I just wanted to know if they all must use the same format or is it
ok if everyone has what they want. I know I must ask our shops here what they use,
I just see that here everything works fine and wanted to know how they did that just
from technical point. I know they wont tell me their secrets. I just though maybe they would say something like yes, all shops have to have the same format and thats it.
No business secrets etc.

Thanks for help to all anyway.

I'm not sure what kind of information you're looking for.

Since you're about to form a portal like Geizhals, my guess would be that you are offering your services to various computer retailers, similar to the service Geizhals offers. In this case, I don't really see the benefit you would gain from knowing what formats Geizhals is using.

If your goal is to provide an easy and convenient service for your customers (i.e. the computer retailers), I think the best way to start would be asking them what format they use to transfer their information to Geizhals and implement a similar system.
First of all: You´re talking PURE nonsense here. As you might figure, Geizhals is not an open Source project running under the GNU. It is a business with people working for a living there.
An of course some things should remain their secret, as they worked these things out and programmed their interfaces.
Well, why don´t you go and ask a shop for the list then? would be easier, wouldn´t it?

P.S.: About your P.S.: Nonsense concentratum purum. Stop implying stupid opinions.

edit: You can find the format of their lists on their homepage. It is described there:
http://unternehmen.geizhals.at
Sorry, but I really don't see the reason for your question. You want to establish a Geizhals-System in Slovenia, right? So it is up to you to decide what data-format you are able to process, you have to write those parsers yourself after all.
Or maybe you should ask the Shops you want to compare. Most likely they already have some list-format they use.
I cant agree with you. It is people like you that stops the developing of new things, becouse you think all must be protected, under patents,..
Why dont you ask then why linux is free, why openoffice is free,.. Shouldn`t someone
sell those things and protect them that noone else can use them. I just asked for little
help becouse I dont know if it is easyer to have all files in same format or if they can be
what they want and then transformed to database as they are.
Be sure that this site is going to open soon and if they tell me or not, I just asked becouse I thought that they would help, I am not asking them to give me whole site and create database for me ,...
The thing I am asking here I can ask any shop that sells here, so I guess its kinda hard
for them to keep that as a secret, specialy with 300 shops, dont you think.

P.S: I guess you just love comapanys like Microsoft,.. They have monopol and I`m sure
you`re glad there is no competition going on, so you can just buy 1 product.
Same goes for pages,..

well....Can you exactly tell my why Geizhals should support your efforts of creating a site which would in parts appear as a competitor? As you know, Slovenia is part of the European Union and i am quite sure (as we also have forum-users from slovenia here) that Geizhals is also used by Slovenian customers.
Besides this, I am not really sure you will be able to succeed in your efforts, as some basic technical questions can´t be solved by yourself.
