First, make a copy of sysoc.inf (found on the hard disk at \winnt\inf\sysoc.inf) before proceeding so that you can restore the initial configuration if necessary. Give the copy a different name, such as sysoc2.inf.

Open the Sysoc.inf file. Each line of text in the file represents a component that can be displayed in the Add/Remove Windows Components dialog.

Delete the word HIDE for any component that you want to see in the dialog (do not erase the commas).

Save the Sysoc.inf file, then close it, and reboot your computer.

danke, das mit der inf-datei könnt funktionieren, werds gleich ausprobieren, wenn ich zhaus bin. die exe-datei würd ich nicht löschen, is eher die brutalo-methode, und letzteres, also in der registrierung den autostart-eintrag löschen, ist auch nicht notwendig, das lässt sich sogar im programm einstellen!

Habe das XP noch nicht aber das habe ich aufgeschnappt, ACHTUNG, habs noch nicht probiert!!!!

\inf\sysoc.inf
Zeile: msmsgs "hide" entfernen, dadurch kann in der Systemsteuerung Windows Komponenten hinzufügen/entfernen der Messenger und auch der MSN Explorer deinstalliert werden
oder:
msmsgs.exe löschen oder umbenennen

Stop Windows MessengerAuto-Starting:
delete the following Registry Key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Run\MSMSGS

Schau mal im Outlook unter Extras->Optionen, dort sollte irgendwo Messenger stehen, ich habs da jetzt leider (bzw. glücklicherweise) nicht installiert, morgen könnte ich dir mehr sagen.

wie bekomm ich dieses lästige programm von meinem xp runter? das startet sich jedesmal, wenn ich outlook öffne, unter software kann ichs ebenfalls nicht deinstallieren. kennt irgendjemand einen trick?
