Es gäbe da ein Tool aus dem Jahr 2001 ...

... mit dem man sämtliche Verweise nachträglich ändern kann.
Hat bei mir seinerzeit recht zuverlässig gearbeitet.
Zunächst den ganzen Programmordner in die Partition kopieren, und dann das Tool starten.

COA2 tracks down all system references to the specified old address (file or folder name) in shortcuts, INI files, and the Registry and replaces them with the new address. When the changes are complete, COA2 presents you with a list of the changes it made, and gives the option to undo any of them, if necessary.

Note that COA2 does not move any files. It's the equivalent of the Change of Address form you send to the Post Office, not the moving van!

COA2 runs under Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT4, and Windows 2000.

PS: Nur der Registrypfad lässt sich auch mit Microsoft's TweakUI ändern ..,

Registry Key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Da gibts nen Key namens: ProgramFilesDir den auf das ändern was du brauchst.

Hätte mir das ein wenig leichter vorgestellt
Wollte nur Programme immer auf einer anderen Partition installieren.

z.b. statt C:\\Programme\... auf E:\\Programme

Der einzig sinnvolle Weg führt über eine sogenannte Unattended Windows Installation:

Dort findest du alle wichtigen Information dazu; ob sich der Aufwand für dich lohnt, steht auf einem anderen Blatt.

Hi!

Die Umgebungsvariable %ProgramFiles% beinhaltet das Verzeichnis, das per Default in den meisten Installationsprogrammen abgefragt/vorgeschlagen wird.

Man kann diese Variable neu *TRÖT*, nur würde ich davon nach einer längeren Benutzung des OS dringend abraten, es sein denn,
a) Du bist mutig,
b) erstellst das neue Verzeichnis vorher,
c) änderst im Live-System die Variable,
d) verschiebst in einem Zweitsystem den Inhalt des alten in das neue Verzeichnis.

Dann würde zumindest auch im Live-System die Auflösung direkt beim Start stimmen, und alle folgenden Installationen müssten im neuen Verzeichnis landen.

Aber Achtung: bei dieser Anleitung handelt es sich weder um was von MS supportetes noch wirklich ausgiebig getestetes; ich weiß nicht, inwieweit solche Strings hardcoded im OS irgendwo vorkommen (so wie es zB. mit dem Ordner \Dokumente und Einstellungen ist).

Wie kann ich unter Windows XP den Pfad ändern der bei Intallieren eines Programmes immer vorgeschlagen wird? Sodass ich den nicht immer selbst ändern muss.
