Für alle iPhone'ler denen Pressy auch gefällt hab ihn mal gefragt wie es mit anderen Systemen aussieht hier die Antwort:

Hi,
We may look to make the Pressy app and button available on other operating systems, like iOS, but we're not there yet.
So for now, just Android.

hab ich ... finds annähernd sinnvoll ... wird aber ziemlich sicher in naher zukunft ein bestandteil von android ... war doch bis jetzt immer so dass jede gute idee ruck zuck übernommen worden ist ins grundsystem

ich drück bei meinem S3 etwa 3 Sekunden auf die Home Taste dann geht das Flashlight an im LockScreen... selbiges um es wieder auszuschalten ... aber das ist ein CustomRom ... könnten sich die Hersteller auch mal was abzweigen

Without Pressy, if you just want to turn your flashlight ON you need to:

Wake your screen -> Unlock it -> Exit your current running app -> Search for the app you want to use -> Launch it -> And finally, perform your desired Action.

ok, dass habe ich nicht gelesen.
D.h. aber auch, dass man diesen Pressy eigentlich überhaupt nichtg braucht, sondern nur ein Headset (mit Button) und die zugehörige App.

Eine frage hab jetzt nicht alles gelesen geht das nur mit Android oder wird es OS unabhängig sein sprich geht das auch für iOS ?

Werd mir einen holen, weil bei meinem Galaxy Nexus der Power-Button etwas spinnt, aber extra zur Reparatur will ich es auch ned geben, sonst geht ja ganz gut...

vorstellen, dass das ding vor allem auch für ältere smartphone-user sehr
praktisch ist.

Glaub ich nicht.
Glaube eher, dass der standard pressy-käufer genau 2-3 aktionen ständig mit dem pressy bedient. Mehr combos will sich da sicher keiner merken.

Es ist halt einfach ein zusätzlicher Taster für ein Telefon der belegt werden kann - aber im Zweifelsfall ist er eh immer mit der falschen Funktion belegt

Es geht mir nicht um EIN Beispiel.
Wie gesagt mit dem entsprechendem ROM kann ich mir jede beliebige App (und sogar mehrere gleichzeitig) auf den LockScreen verknüpfen, und der Kopfhöreranschluss bleibt auch frei!

Gute Idee und wird eh schon hinreichend unterstützt. Ich wüsste aber nicht, was ich mit dem Knopf starten sollte...vielleicht am ehesten sofort ein Foto machen.

Genau so ist es, und nebenbei kann man auch die Kopfhörer benutzen, was mit dem komischen Pressy nicht geht.

Finde ich persönlich eher nutzlos.
Ein ordentliches CustomROM, und dann kannst Du dir den LockScreen bzw. das PullDown Menü so anpassen wie du willst.

Also z.B. fürs FlashLight:
Wake your screen --> Slide to Flashlight (oder to Camera oder to.......wasauchimmer).

Und wenn man Kopfhörer anstecken will, kannst Dich mit dem Pressy sowieso brausen gehen.
