der monatliche Klick war bei mir auch schon vor Jahren nötig, evtl. liegts ja am Accountalter

Die monatliche Email von no-ip.org bekomm ich auch schon länger, da der Client nicht mehr funktioniert hat. Funktioniert trotz der lästigen paar Klicks aber gut.

Alternativ hab ich auch den FreeDNS von afraid.org eingerichtet, hab da eine port0.org Subdomain und die braucht seit mehreren Monaten keine weitere Aktivierung.

Interessant. Verwende No-IP seit 2013, als DynDNS genau das gleiche mit dem monatlichen Einloggen gemacht hat. Habe bis jetzt aber zum Glück noch nix von No-IP bekommen, die Updates funktionieren auch noch...ich hoffe mal, dass das so bleibt

Ist halt die frage was mit A1 DSL-Modems funktioniert. Kostenlose alternativen gibts genug.

Nein, hat definitiv bisher ohne Einloggen und Aktualisieren funktioniert. Erst seit etwas über einem Monat kam diese Änderung.

Hello,

Yes, we currently no longer allow an update from an update client to count as a confirmation in an effort to clean up hostnames that are no longer in use and simply have an update client running that was forgotten.
With a free account the hostname is required to be confirmed every 30 days.
To confirm the hostname this can be done manually through the No-IP account on the "Dynamic DNS" page by clicking on "Modify" and then "Update Hostsname".
Unfortunately this will not be temporary, and Free hostnames will need to either be confirmed manually or via the email that is sent 7 days prior to their deletion.

If you do not want to have to worry about the hostname, we have our Enhanced DNS service which will remove this limitation and the hostname will remain active in the account as long as the Enhanced service is active.
