hi leute
ich hab da ein kleines problem. ich bing die soundkarte einfach nicht zum laufen.
kann mir jemand mal helfen aber bitte von ganz vorne weg.

Hi.

Lädst Du irgendwo das Open Sound System (OSS) oder das ALSA nach ? Hab davon nämlich nix gesehen in deinem Log (kann auch übersehn sein). Außerdem würd ich die Ressourcen in deinem Fall händisch angeben, das Plug'n'Play scheint nicht richtig zu funktionieren ...

Wie hast du woody installiert? Mit dem Debian Installer?

Ich empfehle den Debian Installer für Sarge:

http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/sarge_d-i/i386/beta4/sarge-i386-netinst.iso

Wäre ein Wunder wenn er die Soundkarte nicht von selbst checkt.

installiert hab ich es mit den 5 image discs und dann net install. hab ne geile leitung hier (T1) da geht das dann ruck zuck.

und ich hab hier keinen brenner rumliegen deshalb net install.
und mit neuaufsetzen is nicht da da schon einiges drauf lauft (mysqldb,apache,monitoring tool)

Nimm mal nen aktuellen Kernel und aktivier ALSA. Und nicht vergessen Woody ist schon ziemlich weit weg vom Schuss....

Den 2.4.18 darfst/sollst du für Server ohnehin nicht verwenden (mremap exploit).
Also entweder den 2.4.26 oder gleich den 2.6.6

Naja was wuerdest du mir empfehlen? ich will wenns geht auf debian bleiben.
und die umstellung sollte nicht länger als 1-2h dauern?

und das mit kernel hab ich grad mal versucht und bin mitten in eine kernel panic geflogen. hehe war aber mein fehler .. hab alles auf reiserfs und hab doch glat vergessen den support dafuer zu aktivieren hehe. aber jetzt hab ichs und er speibt mir noch immer den stdout voll mit er will nicht er kann nicht und so weiter...

Du musst die /etc/apt/sources.list editieren.

Alles was auf woody referenziert auf sarge umändern.

Dann apt-get update und apt-get dist-upgrade
