Korean Barbeque Ribs
Easy preparation makes this dish a winner. Serves 4.

4 lbs short rib of beef
2/3 cup kikkoman teriyaki sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
2 cloves garlic, pressed
Score meaty side of ribs opposite bone, 1/2" apart, 1/2" deep, lengthwise and crosswise. Place ribs in large plastic bag. Combine teriyaki sauce, sesame seed, sugar, Tabasco and garlic; pour over ribs. Press air out of bag; tie top securely. Refrigerate 4hours, turning bag over occasionally. Remove ribs and broil or grill 4" from heat source or hot coals 15 to 18 minutes, or until outsides of ribs are brown and crisp. Turn ribs over occasionally during cooking.

Bulgogi (Korean Beef Grilled on Skewers)
This delicious recipe will be the hit of the season. Classic Korean Bulgogi with outstanding flavor.

1 1/2lbs boneless sirloin beef (or other good beef)
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1-2 cloves crushed garlic
1/2 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
3-4 green onions, finely chopped
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons dry sherry
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, to taste

Toast the sesame seeds in a frying pan over medium heat until brown, let them cool. Cut the beef in thin slices, freezing the meat slightly makes it easier to slice it thin. Mix all marinade ingredients together, add also the sesame seeds, and to this add the beef. Leave to marinate at least 30 minutes, a few hours is preferred. Thread the meat on wooden skewers, grill or barbecue a few minutes on each side, using the remaining marinade for basting. (Soak the wooden skewers in water for half an hour to prevent them burning.)

Pork tenderloin works equally as well beef.
