Hab eine Seagate mit 80 GB, hatte das selbe Problem schon einmal. Hab sie damals über den Händler eingeschickt, hab eine neue bekommen und jetzt hab ich das selbe Problem wieder. Der PC hängt sich bei auftreten des Geräusches spontan auf und bei der Fehlerprüfung ebenso. Hab auch einen Virenscanner durchlaufen lassen hat folgendes ausgespuckt (AntiVir Guard - Report):

Heißt das jetzt meine HD is wieder im *PIEP* oder kann ich sie noch irgendwie retten?

hallo das würd ich nicht sagen das,diagnosetools nichts mehr bringen.
das diagnosetool bootest du ja von der floppy.dadurch hast du vollen zugriff auf das laufwerk,und nicht wie unter windows nur einen eingeschränkten.
probiers einfach mal aus.
beim drive fitnesstest(nehm ich mal als beispiel) gibts einen quicktest,der lässt sich einerseits schnell und andererseits ohne datenverlust durchführen ,der gibt dir dann aufschluß über die weitere vorgehensweise.
