+ Super jpeg-engine und vor allem auch das 50er Oly Macro (@ f/6.3 !) verhelfen ihr zu exzellenter Bildqualität ... bis ISO1600 wie EOS 500D und Pentax K-x; RAW auch sehr gut, aber da wirds etwas enger
+ Bildstabi, aber leider Sparvariante gegenüber E-P2
+ bester aktueller EVF optional um gutes Geld verfügbar (derselbe, wie er an die E-P2 passt)

Extra-Plus: commander-fähiges Einbaublitzi

The most significant feature of the E-PL1's body is probably the new built-in flash. It's not terrifically powerful, with a Guide Number of 10 at ISO 200 (7 at ISO 100), but it'll work to add a bit of fill-flash or can remotely trigger and control the optional Olympus FL36R or FL50R external flashguns.
... alles geht, wenn man nur will!!!

Muss einmal nachlesen, ob da im Gegensatz zu Canon auch wireless syncen auf den 2. Vorhang und HSS geht.

Minus:
- Bedienung wie Kompaktknipse ... keine Radln, nur Köpfe & Menüs
- AF vor allem mit Kitobjektiv immer noch suboptimal
- kein Orientierunsgsensor ... dass man sowas "wegrationalisiert" ist mir echt unverständlich ... gerade auch für Kompaktknipsen-Aufsteiger!

Mein Fazit: mit der teuren E-P2 in der aktuellen Form wird Oly nix mehr reissen. Wenn, dann ist eine E-P3 angesagt. Anregungen dazu - keine Wunschliste:
* Bedienkonzept und Stabi wie E-P2
* Bildqualität wie E-PL ... oder noch bessere nächste Generation -> back-illu FT Sensor?
* weiter beschleunigter Kontrast AF ... mal sehen, wie die Sonys in der Disziplin abschneiden
* weniger Retro-Styling, dafür Einbau-Blitz wie E-PL
* Preis wie die E-PL derzeit

Ach ja, dpreview schreibt zu den möglichen ILC-Benutzergruppen:

"There are, perhaps, three types of potential users who might find themselves considering purchasing the E-PL1, all of who will find things to love and things to be frustrated by in the camera. The first is the compact camera user who wants better images, might be interested in taking some control over the camera but doesn't want to learn about apertures and exposure. The second is the owner of an enthusiast compact, more familiar with changing settings but not wanting the bulk of a DSLR. The third is a current DSLR owners looking for a smaller second camera.

It's this last type of user that are least likely to really enjoy the E-PL1 - the more compact-camera-like interface could and probably should encourage them to look up to the E-P2 (even if the PL1's images have a slight edge and its handling with manual focus lenses is arguably better). The enthusiast compact owners will be immediately at home, however, and are the group likely to get the most out of the E-PL1 - being happy to play with shooting settings and delve into the menus to tailor the camera to the way they want it to work."
