Hi leute!

Sollte man nach einiger Zeit die Festplatten physikalisch ändern?
Z.b: wenn c auf platte 1 ist, sollte man es nach einiger zeit auf platte 2 verlegen damit die platte nicht zu beansprucht wird, oder ist das wurscht??

Jo, die ide platten sind ja teilweise nicht für Dauerbetrieb ausgelegt und gehen daher recht bald ein. Ein besonderes Beispiel ist da die IBM Deathstar, aeh. Deskstar (60/75) 120 GXP.
Wenn man die HD länger als 11 h/Tag laufen lässt hält sie wohl keine 3 Jahre (Garantiezeit).

He's an 11-Hour Man

It certainly didn't help matters when IBM added an eye-opener to the Deskstar 120GXP's data sheet: Though IBM has since claimed it's merely a description of average desktop use and not a warranty limitation, the specs say that the drive's "recommended power-on hours" usage is approximately 11 hours per day (333 hours per month).

I first noticed this in a forum post, filed it away for future reference, and then all heck broke loose when the "confession" was picked up by several major tech sites. No other hard disk vendor has gone so far as to suggest an 11-hour daily duty cycle, nor did IBM with the 60GXP or 75GXP models.

At that point, several prominent sites removed the 120GXP from their recommended hardware lists, the most notable being Storage Review's deletion of the drive from its server suggestions. That's a logical move, since any server requires 24/7 uptime. Since then, the controversy's degenerated into a "he said, she said" debacle, with a lot of of-course-it's-safe-for-servers spin from IBM.

The Deskstar may be in an unwanted spotlight today, but IBM isn't alone. I have only personal and anecdotal evidence to go by, but it does seem that as IDE hard disk capacities have soared and costs have plummeted, there's a higher propensity for issues to crop up. This goes beyond the usual drive failure rates, and also includes problems like drive noise and heat.
