Hallo an alle hilfsbereiten Geizhälse...

Ich kaufe mir ein Dell Inspiron 1525.
Wie kann ich es auf den matten Bildschirm aufgraden?
Man kann zwar vieles auswählen, aber diese Funktion habe ich noch nicht entdeckt.
Ist es eine gute Idee gleich einen 9-Zellen Akku zu bestellen?
Hat der LT überhaupt keine Soundkarte drin?

Ist ein Wireless-Router empfehlenswert. Kann ich das nicht auch nachträglich irgendwie anders lösen?
Was ist Mikrosoft Works? Word und Excel und das alles?
Wenn ich lieber XP draufhätte, ist das möglich?

Wie läuft der Support bei Unfallschäden?
Empfiehlt es sich, bei Vista ab 2,x Ghz Arbeitsspeicher zu bestellen?

Wenn schonn Dell würd ich doch eher gleich ein Vostro nehmen, die haben immer matte Displays, und sind als Geräte für den Unternehmenseinsatz auch robuster. Vorallem das neue 1310 springt einem da gleich an, denn das lässt sich auch als Notebook nutzen, und kann optional mit einer Grafikkarte bestellt werden - 15,4" ist doch eher nur ein Ersatz für den Tischrechner zuhaus. Nur wegen dem bunten Gehäuse würde ich es keinesfalls kaufen. Egal ob das eine oder andere, der neue T8x00 Prozessor ist zwar ein wenig schneller als die T7x00 Serie, aber entgegn allen Gerüchten verlängert sich die Laufzeit nicht. Fürs Vista64 wären 4GB mit 2x2GB als Grundausrüstung schön, aber ich würde 1000%ig von Vista64 in Verbindung mit einem Notebook abraten, es gibt da keine sinnvolle Anwendung die Vista64 erfordert, und von den 4GB sind bei onboard Grafik sowieso min. 64MB für die Grafik weg, und 64bit Programme brauchen immer mehr Speicher, also ist der verbleibende Vorteil minimal. Von den ganzen Problemen, mit fehlenden Treibern usw. abgesehen - das hat auch die UNI Wien dazu bewogen, die dortige Notebook Aktion ohne x64 Unterstützung zu gestalten. Obwohl bei hp bekommt man jetzt schon 8GB um gerade mal 400€ Aufpreis...

Noch ein wichtiger Tipp, bei DELL immer zuerst die s.g. Aktionsangebote aufrufen, dort das am besten passende Modell auswählen, und dass dann weiter aufrüsten, da spart man schnell mal 100-200€ gegen ein aufgerüstetes Normalmodell & warten bis es eine gratis Versandaktion gibt, kommt eh fast einmal im Monat.....
