Kennt wer Pretec?

ja. ist ein namhafter Flash-Card Hersteller.

Es ist aber schwer, (gratis) Info zur Firma selbst zu finden. Sie sitzen in Fremont, CA - genau da, wo LEXAR auch hockt ... wurden 1993 gegründet. Chef President heisst Gordon Yu; nicht börsennotiert, Umsatz, Mitarbeiterzahl etc. -> Fehlanzeige! Sind auf Flash-Speicherkarten und andere speicherlastige Kleinteile/GPS spezialisiert, auch für miltitärische Kunden/Anwendungen.

Sie hatten und haben ein paar Klagen wegen behaupteter Patentrechtsverletungen am Hals, u.A. von Sandisk und Acticon. ISt aber in der Branche eher als normal einzuschätzen.

Die Produkte sind sher solid - absolut in der Sandisk-Klasse, aber in Europa schlecht vertrieben.
