Hab da eine Frage an alle Video-Freaks unter Euch.

Hab letztens dieses Teil beim Saturn herumstehen gesehen:

...und mir gedacht, daß wär doch prinzipiell eine feine Sache (abgesehen vom Preis), aber irgendwie muß das doch auch mit dem PC ganz gut gehen, noch dazu hätte man da den Riesenvorteil, HDs wechseln/erweitern zu können, das Zeug gleich mit dem DVD Brenner brennen zu können etc.

Was ist Eure Meinung dazu? Welche Hardware bräuchte man da (GraKa, Kabel etc.)?

Philips - Fernsteuerung (ehemals für Videorecorder)
LIRC - Infrarot Emfänger - selbst gebaut (Materialkosten ca. 15)

Betriebssystem Linux SUSE 8.2 ohne X-Server:

und SAMBA für Datenaustausch mit Windows-PC zum DVD brennen.

Aufnahme und anschauen am gleichen Transponder - CPU - Belastung 2%
Werbung rausschneiden über die Fernsteuerung direkt am Fernseher - CPU Belastung 2%

Nach dem schneiden neu rendern - CPU Belastung 2% Dauer pro Std./Film ca. 4 min.

Einzig Software die ich kenne, die den eingebauten MPEG-Chip zum rechnen
verwendet.

Mit minimalem Aufwand eine ausgezeichnet Leistung - das teuerst an der ganzen
Sache ist die WinTV-Nexus-s.
