Könnte sich bitte ein User, der Modzilla Firebird und einen anderen Browser (IE, Netscape, Opera, ...) bei mir per PM (mit Telefonnummer, bitte!) melden? Ich würde gerne eine angeblich auftretende Inkompatibilität prüfen.

Oops! Danke. Sollte ich natürlich wissen, schließlich steht es in unserer Statistikauswertung. Hab's aus einer Mail abgeschrieben - und dann noch falsch (Firebird statt Firefox).

Ich glaube ich melke jetzt mal unsere Espressomaschine, bevor ich weitermache ....

Grundsätzlich ging es um ein Mail, in dem es heisst:

"Leider ist Ihre Homepage mit Modzilla Firefox nicht darstellbar.
Was sehr bedauerlich ist weil ich weder Netscape noch IE mein Vertrauen schenke und die Anzahl der User von alternativ Browsern im Vormarsch ist.
Schade"

Nun werden sich einige User dieses Forums noch erinnern, dass wir vor vielen Monaten extra für V e LL o W einige Modifikationen für verbesserte Darstellung auf Mozilla gemacht haben. Deswegen war der Seitenhieb, wir boykottierten alternative Browser, für mich besonders hart.

Ich gebe ja zu, dass wir nicht für jeden Browser(fehler) eigene Versionen unserer Website programmieren können, aber wir tun, was mit vertretbarem Aufwand möglich ist. "Vertretbar" bedeutet, dass wir beispielsweise nicht speziell für 0,05% zugreifender Browser wochenlang programmieren können.

Übrigens, für jeden, den es interessiert, die Statistikzahlen zu den derzeit verwendeten Browsern

Die beiden Spitzenreiter sind

14.64% Netscape (hat wieder deutlich aufgeholt)
