Hallo,

Ich hab jetzt mal versucht halbwegs nen Gaming-PC für meinen Bruder zusammenzustellen, aber da ich nicht wirklich der Gamer bin weiß ich nicht wie stimmig die Komponenten sind!

Als Grafikkarte würde die alte 8600GT aus seinem jetzigen PC kommen, sonst muss alles neu her.

Als Gehäuse hätte er gern irgendwas das leuchtet...jetzt dachte ich dass er ein billiges Gehäuse kaufen soll und wir modden das Ding dann bisschen (Plexiglasplatte, Leuchtröhren und so unnötigen Kram).

Würde folgendes Gehäuse in etwa passen?

Ist schön, wenn Du Deinen i7 durch Überspannung schrotten willst, kannst Du auch RAMs mit >2V und 2GHz dran hängen. Der Phenom verkraftet das wenigstens, denn im Gegensatz zu den 1.65V auf die der Intel Speicherkontroller maximal ausgelegt ist, ist er auch auf die 1.8V +10% bei DDR2 entwickelt, und hält daher bei 2V länger als 5 Wochen durch.

Es bleibt die Tatsache, dass der Athlon II von DDR3 sehr wohl profitieren kann, und es beim Phenom mit dem L3 Cache eher egal ist. Ich betreibe keine Übertakterexperimente, sondern kümmere mich hauptsächlich um Rechner, die im täglichen Büroeinsatz für mindestens 5 Jahre ausgelegt sind. In dem Umfeld ist der Athlon II auf einem AM3 Mainboard nicht schlecht aufgestellt. Eine 250er CPU hab ich schon mal zum Test geholt, und auf einem DDR2 Board läuft er Kern für Kern langsamer als der Phenom II. DDR3 RAMs hab ich zwar auch genügend (hab grad erst 5 i7 Systeme gebaut), mit AM3 testen kann ichs aber erst in ca. 2 Wochen, weil die Kombination schon auf 785er Mainboards soll, und ich kein anderes AM3 Board einkaufen will. So wie die DDR3 Preise momentan gestiegen sind, ist vermutlich wirklich die Kombi aus Phenom II X2 BE und DDR2 800 der P/L Schlager.

Mit der 9400er hast einfach die falsche Karte verglichen, eine 8600er (G84) hat 32 Shader und nicht 16 > die 9400er verwendet zwar den selben G96 Chip wie die 9500er, aber es läuft nur einer der beiden Shader Cluster. Da ja bei nV weiterhin Zombieball statt Neuentwicklung herrscht, kommt der alte Chip als 40nm Shrink mit VP3 unter der Bezeichnung GT210/220 bald wieder ins Regal

Ist halt einfach eine Mittelklasse von vor 2 Jahren, daß aktuelle 70€ Karten (9600GT) doppelt so schnell sind, hab ich auch nie bestritten, und es wäre traurig, wenn eine >120€ 1GB Radeon 4870 nicht noch schneller ist. Daher hab ich ihm die auch längst vorgeschlagen, aber wer ein 28€ Gehäuse einplant, rechnet bestimmt mit knappen Budget. Es gibt durchaus Spiele die mit einer 8600er und einer 3GHz CPU bei 1680x1050 mit mehr als 30FPS laufen, da kommt kein Chipsatz hin.
