Würdest du sagen, dass das optimale System für einen, den nur Textverarbeitung interessiert, ein Dual Opteron Sys ist?`

Schau es kommt ganz auf den Verwendungszweck an, ob ein System ausreichend ist oder nich.

Ich weiss, dass der AMD64 nicht für Server gebaut worden ist, aber Linux ist auch nicht nur für Server entwickelt worden. Und auch wenn auf Linux keine "Games" und "Windows"-Anwendungen laufen, gibts trotzdem genug sinnvolle Applikation, die größtenteils Open Source Programme sind und einige davon brauchen auch etwas mehr Rechenleistung.
Ja, es gibt wirklich noch Gründe sich einen leistungsfähigen Desktop PC zuzulegen, außer nur Spiele und deine sogenannten "Windows"-Anwendungen.
