Hallo,

habe seit 2 Tagen o.g. Grafikkarte.

Ich hatte von früher durchwegs negative Erfahrungen mit ATI weswegen ich die letzten Jahre nur NVIDIA Grafikkarten hatte. Doch die Leistung der 4870 hat mich lt. Testberichten überzeugt.

Daher hab ich mich entschlossen wieder eine ATI zu kuafen und muss feststellen es hat sich nichts verändert.

Crysis kann ich jetzt mit einer höheren Detailstufe spielen, jedoch lange nicht mit den höchsten und in der höchsten Auflösung (1680x1050) schon garnicht.

Heute gings los: Vista startet, schaltet in die grafische Oberfläche. Monitore werden schwarz, Lüfter von der Grafikkarte drehen hoch - nichts geht mehr.

Das ganze ging im Laufe des Nachmittags noch 2 mal. Danach hat sichs eigentlich stabilisiert.

Jetzt wollte ich mir einen Film ansehen, nach ca. einer Stunde wiedergabe zeit fängt der Film an zu ruckeln. Vista erzählt mir was von einem Fehler in der Anzeige vom ATI Treiber. Auf einmal Bluescreen. atixx.sys (xx war irgendwas anderes).

Alles in allem bin ich enttäuscht. Temperatur ist zwischen 73 und 85°C. Die Grafikkarte befindet sich in einem sehr gut durchgelüfteten Chieftech Gehäuse. An der Seitenwand drücken 2 92er Lüfter Luft ins Gehäuse und oberhalb der Grafikkarte saugt ein 120mm Lüfter ab. Bei den HDD Schächten drücken nochmal 2 92mm Lüfter luft rein.

Vorgänger Grafikkarte war eine Passiv gekühlte GeForce 8600 GT bei ca. 56°C

Restliches System:

Mobo: P5K
CPU: C2d E6750 @3,1 GhZ
Ram: 8GB Corsair XMS
HDD: 2xWD Raptor 74GB im Raid 0 an PCIe RaidController
OS: Vista64
2 Monitore angeschlossen

Runter gehts schneller als rauf!

Hey Leute,..

ich muss sagen das ich mir immer gerne die Kämpfe Intel vs AMD, nVidia vs. ATI von aussen anschaue.

Als Händler mit Kunden in jeder Altersgruppe bekomme ich mit das ATI Karten deutlich öfter getauscht werden als nVidia. Liegt aber auch daran das hier in der Umgebung deutlich mehr ATI verkauft wird.

Es wird immer wieder Probleme geben in diesem Sektor und das auf beiden Seiten.
Neu Aufsetzen eines Systems ist bei solchen Problemen eigentlich mal ein MUSS.

Ich habe seit 3Dfx gestorben ist nur auf ATI Karten gesetzt und NIE Probleme damit gehabt. Momentan werkelt noch der Stromfresser 2900XT .. wird demnächst ersetzt durch die 4870x2 sobald released.

Im Grunde sollten und dürfen wir alle froh sein, das es noch 2 Hersteller gibt die die Anforderungen an eine Grafikkarte halbwegs umsetzen können. nVidia spinnt ja jetzt schon rum mit der Preispolitik.... wenn sie dann nur noch alleine am Markt wären...
