Klingt gut!

A brief summary of changes in this release, versus Picasa 3.1:

Name tags

Name tags help you organize your photos by what matters most: the people in them.

Picasa identifies similar faces in your photos and puts these into the "Unnamed people" album. To add a name tag, just click "Add a name" and type the person's name.

After you've tagged some pictures, you can do creative things with your name tags, like finding all the photos with the same two people in them or creating a face collage with just one click.

Name tags in Picasa use the same technology that has powered name tags in Picasa Web Albums since last fall.

Geotags with integrated Google Maps

Integrated Google Maps make adding geotags to your photos even easier.

Improved import room

Totally re-designed import process allows you to import photos from your camera or memory card, and upload selected photos to Picasa Web Albums in one step.

Improved tags

Picasa 3.5 has a brand new tags panel.

'Quick Tag' functionality allows you to access your most commonly used tags, and tag counts show the number of photos to which a tag has been applied.

warum zum teufel bearbeitest (ausgerechnet) du im piccasa (und dann auch noch
jpeg)

nicht freiwillig. Sondern ausschliesslich deshalb, weil Canon DPP bis dato raws nicht drehen/ausrichten kann.

Ausserdem nehme ich Picasa für S/W Konvertierungen und Ahnliches. Das kann Picasa auch besser als DPP.

Deine gewünschte Logik bekommst Du am ehesten mit Lightroom oder Photoshop Elements hin (von den mir bekannten Programmen / Windows).

Nach diversen frühere Experimenten lagere ich mittlerweile alle Dateien eines shootings in jeweils nur einem Ordner:

    - 2009mmdd_####[x#]S.jpg (allfällige kleinere jpgs /  800 pix)
    - 2009mmdd_####[x#]M.jpg (allfällige mittlere jpgs / 1000 pix)
    - 2009mmdd_####[x#]L.jpg (allfällige large jpgs / 1200+ pix)
    - picasa.ini
    - .picasaoriginals (Ordner)
      - 2009mmdd_####[x#].jpg - automatische Sicherungskopie
      - picasa.ini

Picasa legt die Sicherungskopie autmatisch an und filtert sie aus (zeigt sie nicht an).

Damit habe ich eigentlich nur noch zwei Probleme

1. die kleineren jpgs werden auch angezeigt. Das lässt sich m.W. nicht filtern (keine version stacks), stört mich aber nur marginal. Raws lasse ich mir in Picasa nicht anzeigen. (in den Optionen irgendwo bei den Fileformaten abstellbar)

Für (seltene) Diashows mache ich dann eben schnell einen eigenen Ordner.

Die in Picasa vorhandene Möglichkeit für Alben verwende ich bewusst nicht. Mir reicht die pickelharte Ordnerstruktur. Schon gar mit der jetzt zunehmend besseren Suchmöglichkeit nach Gesichtern/Personen und tags.

Das könntest Du für Deine angestrebte Struktur allenfalls auch verwenden. Wird aber trotzdem schnell logisch komplex.

2. Die Ordner lasse ich nach Namen sortieren (nach Datum passt mir nicht, da nimmt Picasa, was es will). Leider geht das nach Namen nur in eine Richtung: "Alteste oben, Neueste unten" (statt auch umgekehrt) damit muß ich dauernd in der Ordnerstruktru scrollen. Stört mich schon.

In den anderen Bildverwaltungen darf man dafür mit einer dafür mit einer riesenfetten, meist auch lahmen Datenbank kämpfen, die dann auch öfters reorganisiert werden muß ...
